EMGS will be implementing an Electronic Visa Approval Letter (eVAL) which will be generated as a soft copy through the EMGS’ STARS system. The eVAL will be issued to students and institutions in place of a physical VAL.
This eVAL can be downloaded as a PDF from the application tracker on Education Malaysia public website (www.educationmalaysia.gov.my)
This eVAL will be of 3 pages and it should be used to apply for Single Entry Visa (SEV) at Malaysian Embassy in the respective countries.
As a pilot phase of this new system, the eVAL will be issued for free of charge. Starting from 1st January 2018, there will be additional charges in the EMGS Visa Application Fee. Once the additional fee is fixed, we will inform you accordingly.
The implementation of the electronic Visa Approval Letter (eVAL) , would speed up the application process, said Immigration Department director-general Datuk Seri Mustafar Ali.
