Why Studying Bachelor of Medical Bioscience at Monash?

The Bachelor of Medical Bioscience is an interdisciplinary program providing training in the biomedical sciences with a focus on medical/molecular diagnostics and medical biotechnology.
Study a wide range of topics including anatomy, biochemistry, cellular metabolism, immunology, medical microbiology, human physiology, pharmacology, pathology, molecular biology and biotechnology. You will also develop a regional perspective relevant to Malaysian healthcare primarily through case studies and work-based training in hospitals and medical research centers.
The course commences with a foundation year, covering biology, biotechnology, chemistry and statistical reasoning and analysis. You also study a wide range of topics specific to medical bioscience and undertake a professional attachment to a clinical or medical laboratory. Every subject is tailored to meet the specific demands of our region and we make sure you leave with a sound understanding of ethics.
